Kampong Thom: Interior Minister, Sar Kheng, has advised authorities at all levels to be open to accept all requests from the people and to be as helpful as possible, solving problems effectively and immediately. He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the new Governor of Kampong Thom Province on Monday afternoon.
He says, "As authorities, we need to be open and willing in order to give people in trouble the opportunity to help them solve their problems. In fact, when we do that, we will have problems and what will be the end result? It means that the people who have the problem are not solved or are solved but not fair."
He says power comes from the people within the framework of a liberal, multi-party democracy and that authorities at all levels must understand people’s issues and be open-minded to accept difficult problems to solve as effectively as possible.
